My first hospital visit
Tuesday, January 15 seemed like any other day except that I still had a cold and Dad feared it was getting worse as I was having a little trouble breathing normally. Well that got me taken to my doctor where they gave me a breathing treatment and sent us off to the Children's Hospital. Mom joined us there and we waited for quite awhile until they had a room ready for me - I had to stay overnight. I got an x-ray where I had to lay really still while they took a weird picture of the inside of my chest - scary but neat looking! After that the people in white said I had pneumonia and would need antibiotics. Then they said they needed some of my blood, what are they - vampires? Well, that got me stuck twice with a sharpie needle because once wasn't enough. I was just starting to get over that shocking pain when they said I needed an IV. Didn't know what that was, but it didn't sound good. Turns out it meant another big sharpie needle! This time they stuck me three times before they said it was in. Oh did that ever hurt! To make it worse they stuck it to the top of my sucking hand, what was I supposed to do - become a lefty all of a sudden?! I was pretty tuckered out by all this and Mom had to go back home so Daddy stayed with me all night even though neither of us got much sleep. Those sadistic people seemed to like to wait till I was finally dozing to come in and wake up Daddy and me just for the fun of it I guess. This went on all night, but finally the next evening they said we could go home! Yay, I get to sleep in my own crib again and I won't be woken up every hour either! They say I'm getting better and am back to my usual happy self - but a little more tired than usual.

Well your uncle is happy to hear everything went ok-your mother sometimes forgets to call me. Dont worry about the men in white, its the ones in brown to be scared of.
i'm glad too to hear, that you are ok now. Ive a cold at the moment, so don't come close to me, because it would be no good for your health. maybe it coult be pollen ... because it's so warm here. all the best to you an your mom and your oma, kleine bianca!
he bianca,
now you know the coldest place on earth and i hope that you will never see this again. ok, there is only one reason to see a doctor again: the gummibärchen
when i was a baby and ill, my paediatrician gave me many gummibärchen!! for one injection, one gummibärchen!
perhaps you are in a better position to trade with the doctor, like one injection, two gumminbärchen! this is my hint!
a short explanation to you: in germany gummibärchen are made by HARIBO. it's for "Hans Riegel, Bonn". that's the reason why my name is "sorobo", only the name from my brother is "the bonner", because he had no better idea ...
many gummibärchens to you, without beeing pricked.
