I can roll over!

I was laying on my playmat on my back when I spotted a toy I wanted to desperately just out of reach. I know how to roll on my side so I tried that but it wasn't quite close enough to the toy. I grabbed hold of the edge of my playmat and tugged and well what do you know? I rolled all the way onto my tummy! Then I just lifted myself up a bit to see what had happened and was pretty darn pleased with myself - but we all know how much I hate my tummy time so I thought I'd just reverse what I'd done and voila! I rolled back over onto my back - tada! Baby learned a new trick! Now I can rollover better than the dogs can! I did this first for mommy and then when daddy came home from work I did it for him too and then for Omi as well. I'm such a pro at this now - just wait till I figure out crawling!

First tantrum at daycare!

Okay today, they said I had my first temper tantrum at daycare. Whatever that means. All I know is that I wanted to do something different and that wasn't happening so I decided to try getting a little pouty as that usually makes the big people try to fix whatever is wrong in a hurry. But that didn't work so I had to bring out the baby big guns - full on screaming and making myself change colors like a chameleon - I can get red very quickly when I want to. Of course that got them to pay alot of attention to me and I soon got what I wanted. Guess I take after my mom in that respect - she doesn't get her way she knows how to work the situation to make things go the way she wants. I've quickly caught on that tears can go a long way for a girl to get what she wants! And so the adventures in daycare continue.

My first hospital visit

Tuesday, January 15 seemed like any other day except that I still had a cold and Dad feared it was getting worse as I was having a little trouble breathing normally. Well that got me taken to my doctor where they gave me a breathing treatment and sent us off to the Children's Hospital. Mom joined us there and we waited for quite awhile until they had a room ready for me - I had to stay overnight. I got an x-ray where I had to lay really still while they took a weird picture of the inside of my chest - scary but neat looking! After that the people in white said I had pneumonia and would need antibiotics. Then they said they needed some of my blood, what are they - vampires? Well, that got me stuck twice with a sharpie needle because once wasn't enough. I was just starting to get over that shocking pain when they said I needed an IV. Didn't know what that was, but it didn't sound good. Turns out it meant another big sharpie needle! This time they stuck me three times before they said it was in. Oh did that ever hurt! To make it worse they stuck it to the top of my sucking hand, what was I supposed to do - become a lefty all of a sudden?! I was pretty tuckered out by all this and Mom had to go back home so Daddy stayed with me all night even though neither of us got much sleep. Those sadistic people seemed to like to wait till I was finally dozing to come in and wake up Daddy and me just for the fun of it I guess. This went on all night, but finally the next evening they said we could go home! Yay, I get to sleep in my own crib again and I won't be woken up every hour either! They say I'm getting better and am back to my usual happy self - but a little more tired than usual.

I've started Daycare

Today was my first day at Daycare and they think I'm a little angel! We'll see how long they keep that impression of me as I am teething! I have two bottom teeth through and am working on my top two - yeah I'm a little advanced for a 4 month old.
